Growing with the baby

Today went to the doc for a prenatal and got tested for a few things. Last week I was a little worried that am not having any morning sickness, nor do I have food cravings, or mood swings. But look at me now, am all repenting for missing these last week. Whoever called it morning sickness must be really crazy, coz the sickness happens all day morning to night. Can not eat anything. Forget about eating, a small sip of water and everything just comes out.
Now I totally realized that its not just the baby growing, its me and my first trimester sickness. But all of it seems worth. Every time I vomit, its kind of a different feeling. It feels like as if the baby inside is being naughty and playing with me. The pain, the uneasiness, vomiting everything seems so tiny compared to my baby.
Am literally waiting to see the baby. Also a small wish is wandering around, what if I had twins. I wish we have twins. Mostly will get to know that by Tuesday. Today when I went to the doc she told me that the size of the baby is smaller than it should be. I am a little worried about that. But there is something very funny too, My tummy has started growing and my pants are fitting tighter and I started thinking it is my baby bump and now I realized that it is due to all the eating am doing these days, thanks to Mummy. Hehehe felt so funny when Vannu told me this.
Waiting for tuesday to come and waiting to see the little superstar inside.!

the first news

After coming back from the beach I realised that I was way past my monthly date and decided to secretly take a home preg test. Didn't want to dissappoint people with a negative result. Last Thursday went to a pharmacy and got a home preg test and tested "Positive".

What was the feeling, I can't explain...I didn't know how to react, maybe this happens to every one but it felt so special when it happenned to me. Did not want to tell anyone but the blush on my face could not hide it. The very look on my face Rajesh understood. I tried to tell mom and Varun using a silly example with quarters, 5 cents and 10 cents. Varun just looked at me and gave me a nod like to ask "Is it true?",that I can never forget, and I nodded as if to say yes and his face just lit up. Mom took a lot of time realizing I was pregnant. Almost a day. Then we passed on the news to attaya and Aneel. Aneel was literally jumping with joy. It was so nice to see them so happy. Finally also told dad and Rajesh's dad. Everyone was happy about the news.

I was more than happy. Especially after hearing all the storied of my friends who have faced so many problems trying to conceive. Finally everything was over. It was a new member joining our family. So many questions. Is it a girl or a boy, a single baby or multiples, how is the baby going to look like, what are we going to name the baby, uhh so many unanswered questions kept wandering around my head. This is what every woman dreams about!

It has been almost 10 months and people were already asking me about "gud news". Me n Rajesh had not given it a serious thought yet. We knew someday we had to make a decision regarding when to plan a baby. Both of us were not quite ready to take up such a huge responsibility. We even went to the extent of downloading a monthly calender to keep track of "the days" and to stay away from them. Every time I raised a topic about having kids Rajesh would simply pass it on! 

last month Varun was supposed to be flying to US and as a cherry on top mom also joined him. They came to US on the 17th after a lot of flight delays, changes and misses. We were very happy to have them here. I was already so excited about touring the country with mom n brother. As decided we went on a nice trip to the beach and atlantic city and had loads of fun. Some how at the beach I had a weird kind of a feeling. Usually I do not prefer getting wet at a beach am always at the dry land watching people. Thats coz someone told me that the ocean is always attracted to newly married women and unmarried girls. But this time I had some weird confidence and went in and played in the water along with all my cousins and Rajesh. Weird I thought.!
